User guide for the Preview Settings panel inside the Animation ToolsOnce I sculpted the edges, my playtest displayed red text saying I need to rebuild lighting on 72 objects This is obviously the changes i've made to the landscape so I ran the lighting build, but after waiting through a computer freeze, I get a list of hundreds of errors which are obviously due to the hundreds of foliage meshes i've addedIf you tried to build lighting in a big landscape in UE4 with a lot of foliage, you probably noticed that it's almost impossible to do this if you don't have a supercomputer or two (and even then you probably will get a lot of warnings, like lightmap UV overlapping for your foliage or lightmaps issues for your landscape LODs)In many cases, all that you have to do is to use dynamic lighting

Error "Maps need lighting rebuilt" , 0308 PM Hello, just calling in to ask about a minor problem So, I just went and added the inestimable @fighter5347's Foliage Starter Kit to a project it's great but when I set my directional light to stationary and go to build the lighting, I get this in my message logYour trick works to hide the message so at least is a temporal fix I will try to look into it and if ILIGHTING NEEDS TO BE REBUILT (x unlit objects(s)) So from the "Build" menu above I select Build Lighting Only It then exports some data, then proceeds to display a dialog box;

I build lighting (any quality level), Swarm finishes building (thankfully I'm running this distributed over 6 machines so it only takes 15 mins or so) Lighting appears to be rebuilt As soon as I hit play in the editor the message pops up "Lighting needs to be rebuilt (16 unbuilt objects)"Updating the project, Changing lighting quality back and forth, Migrating everything to a separate project, Copy/pasting level contents to another level, Deleting every single light and starting over Renaming every duplicate object So far nothing is working, and my project will likely have to be shelved indefinitely because of it Is there
